Do you love spring as much as I do? (Honestly, I can not wait, especially after this long and cold winter.) Last week I went to Dollar Tree and got super excited when I saw that they already had some spring stuff out. The flowers are super gorgeous and I feel like the overall quality gets better each year. I already had the vision of how my spring wreath should look, I only had to create it. And this is how I created my Dollar Tree DIY spring wreath:
- Flowers (I chose a purple/white color scheme and I had some leftover box tree from Walmart)
- Willow Wreath
- Sticks (I cut a thin branch in small pieces)
- Hot glue gun
- Floral wire (optional)
I always like to start with the hanger. I took a piece of burlap and knotted it in the back to create a loop, so I could easily hang it later.
Hot glue the sticks on the upper half of your willow wreath. It doesn’t need to be neat, but it should cover the wreath underneath.
Cut the end of the plastic flowers, so you can arrange the individual flowers to your liking. I placed the box tree branches high because it creates a beautiful transition between the sticks and the flowers.
After I arranged the flowers to my liking, I started to hot glue them and double secure them with the flower wire.
With the burlap, I formed a bow and place it in the middle. Then I hot glued it onto the wreath.
Hang your wreath up! If you like, you can bend the box tree or the flowers more to the inside, but I loved how my Dollar Tree DIY spring wreath turned out. If you are interested in more DIY, check out my super easy bracelet tutorial.
